Wood Processing Workshops with TWIG’s Shape Program

Shape is a new program established by TWIG, aiming to spark development in the value-added wood products space. Through this program, the Centre for Advanced Wood Processing (CAWP) has developed a series of online workshops focusing on the fundamentals of wood processing for wood and wood products. These workshops will provide an understanding of workflows to support the design process, project management, project quality, and project cost. In these workshops, you will learn about:

  1. Production workflows, qualities and sizes of wood, how to prepare raw material, and what are the right tools for the job.
  2. CNC cutting technology in design, production, jig making, and prototyping.
  3. Types and applications of wood finishes, coatings, and treatments, and how they can affect the aesthetic and durability of your wood project.

These workshops run from 4-5:30 pm PST on May 12, June 9, and July 21 and are valuable for those of all skill levels. You can register to receive a recording if you cannot attend the workshop online.
